Game Rules

Co-op Survive is a cooperative 2D wave-survival game inspired by Killing Floor. Work together to survive!

Objective

Inspired by the Killing Floor series, Co-op Survive is a top-down cooperative survival game. Team up with up to 6 players and survive escalating waves of hostile creatures. Clear all waves and defeat the final boss to win. If the entire team is wiped out during any wave, the run ends in defeat.

Match Types

  • 3-Wave Match (Short) — Quick game with 3 waves + a boss wave. Best for a fast session.
  • 6-Wave Match (Medium) — Standard game with 6 waves + a boss wave. Balanced experience.
  • 10-Wave Match (Long) — Full-length game with 10 waves + a boss wave. Maximum challenge.

Match Flow

  1. Lobby — Players join a lobby of up to 6. The game begins when all players click Ready (10-second countdown), or when all 6 slots are filled.
  2. Wave Phase — Enemies spawn from the map edges and attack players. Kill all enemies to complete the wave.
  3. Intermission — 30 seconds between waves. Earn a Dosh bonus. Follow the Trader arrow to resupply. Dead teammates respawn at the start of each intermission.
  4. Boss Wave — After the final regular wave, the Patriarch boss appears with support enemies. Defeat the Patriarch to win.

Dosh (Currency)

Earn Dosh by killing enemies. Each enemy type awards a different amount. A wave completion bonus is given at the start of each intermission. Use Dosh at the Trader during intermissions.

Death & Respawning

  • When you die during a wave, you spectate a living teammate.
  • Dead players respawn when the next intermission begins — as long as at least one teammate survived the wave.
  • If the entire team dies during a wave, the game ends in defeat.
  • During the lobby phase, players are invulnerable.

Joining Mid-Game

New players can join a game that is in the lobby or still in its first wave. Once wave 2 begins, no new players can join that game.

Fair Play

  • No hacking or cheating. Use of aimbots, exploits, or any external tools is prohibited.
  • No griefing. Intentionally sabotaging your teammates (blocking paths, wasting resources) is not allowed.
  • No inappropriate usernames. Offensive or hateful names will result in a ban.

Know your enemy. Each creature type has unique behaviors and threats.

Common Enemies

Clot — Slow-moving swarm enemy. Individually weak, but can grab and slow you on contact. Dangerous in groups.

Crawler — Fast and low. Approaches in flanking arcs before lunging. Fragile but hard to hit.

Bloat — Slow, durable tank. Waddles toward players with occasional pauses. High damage on contact.

Gorefast — Medium speed with a deadly charge attack. Walks slowly, then bursts forward in a straight line.

Specialist Enemies

Husk — Ranged attacker. Tries to maintain distance and fire projectiles. Retreats if you get close.

Stalker — Cloaked ambush predator. Nearly invisible until it strikes, then retreats and recloaks.

Siren — Area-of-effect screamer. Approaches to scream range and pulses damage to all nearby players.

Elite Enemies

Scrake — Heavily armored. Walks slowly and deliberately. When damaged below half health, enters a rage state with massively increased speed.

Fleshpound — The most dangerous regular enemy. Paces calmly until provoked, then rages into a devastating high-speed charge. Focus fire as a team.

Boss: The Patriarch

Appears on the final wave. Multi-phase fight with melee, ranged, and healing abilities. Below 25% health, he retreats to heal once, then enters an aggressive final phase. Coordinate your team and burn him down.
